The sportsbook on 1win.ng opens from Sports in the bottom bar. On 13.10 its menu had six tabs: Top, Live, Upcoming, TOP Bets, Esports and Bet history. Upcoming lists matches before kick-off, sorted by sport, with the number of events next to each one.
Football was far ahead of everything else that day. Below the seven largest lists came American Football (73), Volleyball (43), CS2 (33), then UFC, chess, darts, Dota 2, badminton, boxing and more, each with fewer than a hundred events. Counts change every day as fixtures finish and new ones are added.

Each match row shows three main prices, and a “+99” style counter opens the rest of the markets for that game. We saw the Live tab in the menu but did not test in-play markets, so this page says nothing about how live prices behave there.
How a sports bet pays in naira
A sports bet with decimal odds pays stake × odds, and that figure already includes your stake. Profit is the return minus the stake. The odds on 1win.ng were in decimal format on 13.10, for example 2.54 / 3.75 / 2.61 for Lens v Sporting CP in the Champions League.
Worked example
You put ₦2,000 on Lens at 2.54. If Lens win, you get 2,000 × 2.54 = ₦5,080 back, which is ₦3,080 profit. The same ₦2,000 on Arsenal against Lille at 1.21 returns 2,000 × 1.21 = ₦2,420, a profit of ₦420.
A price also tells you how likely the bookmaker thinks the result is. Divide 1 by the odds: 1 / 1.21 is about 82.6%, so Arsenal were priced as strong favourites, while 1 / 14.0 for Lille is about 7.1%.

Types of bet on the betslip
The 1win.ng betslip had three tabs on 13.10: Single, Multiple and Series. You could add a selection without logging in; the slip then showed the fields “Bonus” and “MAX Possible win” and a “Place a bet” button. These are the main types of bet you meet on any slip, and each settles differently.
Single bet
A single bet is one selection with one stake. It wins or loses on that result alone, so the maths is the stake × odds sum above. If you are new to online sports betting, singles keep each result separate and easy to track.
Multiple, or accumulator
Worked example
A multiple joins two or more selections into one bet, and the odds are multiplied together. Three legs at 1.50, 1.80 and 2.10 give 1.50 × 1.80 × 2.10 = 5.67, so ₦1,000 returns ₦5,670 if all three win. If one leg loses, the whole bet is lost.
Stacking favourites does not make a multiple likely to land. Four legs at 1.30 each give 1.30 × 1.30 × 1.30 × 1.30 ≈ 2.86, and 1 / 2.86 is about 35%. By the bookmaker’s own prices, that slip loses roughly two times out of three.
On 13.10 the slip also showed an accumulator win bonus: “Add 4 more events to get a 7% win bonus”, with steps of 7%, 9%, 10%, 12% and 15%. The slip did not say how many events each later step needs, so read the line in your own slip as you add selections.
Series, or system bet
A series splits your picks into several smaller multiples and stakes each one. With three picks in a “doubles from three” series you have three separate doubles; at ₦500 each that costs 3 × ₦500 = ₦1,500, and one losing pick still leaves one double that can win. We did not record which series sizes the 1win slip offers.
How the price is built: the margin
Every sportsbook builds a margin into its odds, and you can measure it from the three prices of a match. Add 1 / odds for each outcome; anything above 100% is the margin.
From the 13.10 prices: Lens v Sporting gives 1/2.54 + 1/3.75 + 1/2.61 = 104.4%, a margin of about 4.4%. Arsenal v Lille gives 1/1.21 + 1/6.6 + 1/14.0 = 104.9%, about 4.9%. That is our own arithmetic on two matches, not a figure for the whole book. According to independent reviews, margins at 1win are around 4% on top European pre-match games and 5–6% in lower divisions.
The margin explains how a price is made. It does not mean you lose that share of every stake: a single bet still wins or loses in full. It matters when you compare prices, because a lower margin leaves more of the true chance in the odds. Margins differ between sportsbooks, which makes a two-minute price check part of sportsbook betting.
Sports betting in Nigeria: what to sort out first
Four things decide whether a bet goes through without trouble. You must be 18 or older. You need an account on a +234 number and a naira balance; the sportsbook top-ups in naira page shows the cashier screens. Check the betting rules in your own state, because they are not the same across the country. And learn the slip shorthand, since 1X, GG and NG appear without explanation; our sports-slip abbreviations list covers them.
Football takes most of the list, so its markets and statistics have their own football fixtures and markets guide.
What the 13.10 check could not show
Some parts of the sportsbook stayed out of view without an account. The minimum stake, cash-out and the field for entering a booking code were not visible, so we cannot confirm them. Bet history only fills once you have placed bets. Before you rely on any of these, look for them in the slip after you log in.

FAQ
Can I add a selection to the betslip without logging in?
Yes. On 13.10 a selection went into the 1win.ng slip with no account; to place the bet you need to be logged in with money in the balance.
Are esports listed with the other sports?
Yes, Esports has its own tab in the sports menu. On 13.10 the list showed 33 CS2 events and 18 Dota 2 events.
Which smaller sports had events on 13.10?
UFC had 22 events, chess 20, darts 19, badminton 18 and boxing 16. Small lists like these change quickly, so check the count on the day.
Can I switch the odds to fractional?
We saw only decimal odds and did not find out whether the format can be changed. Fractional 6/4 equals decimal 2.50, so you can convert by adding 1 to the fraction.
Is the accumulator win bonus the same as the welcome bonus?
No. The win bonus appears in the slip on multiples and rises with the number of events; the welcome bonus is tied to your first deposits and has its own wagering rules.
What happens to my accumulator if one match is postponed?
That depends on the bookmaker's rules, and we did not check 1win's. Many sportsbooks void the postponed leg and pay the rest at the reduced odds, so read the betting rules before you build a long slip.
